The Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, the Hon Mark Butler joined with ReachOut.com to hear insights, stories and recommendations about everything to do with youth mental health and mental health services from young people.
The forum was a unique set up as there was a face to face consultation at ReachOut.com headquarters in Sydney that was run simultaneously with an online discussion forum on ReachOut.com. The young people were asked a range of questions including:
What's been your experience with the services out there? What works? What doesn't? As well as everything in between? Why are so many young people not accessing help when they need it? What do you think needs to be done to improve youth mental health in Australia now and in the future?
